In this article, I want to share my views about the importance of our mindset. How crucial can it be for education and success?
Before discussing its importance, let me share a few thoughts about how it works daily.

Law of attraction – ”Thoughts Become Things.”
Let’s jump in.
The Mindset
Lion: The King Of The Jungle
Have you ever wondered why motivational speakers would emphasize having a positive mindset?
What is the impact of a positive mindset?
Let’s consider the example of a jungle; back in our kindergarten, we were told that the lion is the king of the wilderness, and little did we ponder why he is crowned as the king when he is definitely not the best.
If we consider height, a lion is usually 1.2 meters tall, which isn’t the tallest because a giraffe shares the same jungle and is almost 5 meters tall, nearly thrice.
Giraffes, Elephants, Foxes, and Cheetahs
Do you really think that lions are as clever as foxes or apes if we consider smartness?
I believe you are confident that lions are not the most intelligent animals in a forest.
If we consider the speed of running or hunting, a fit and healthy lion will run at a maximum speed of 80km/h; however, a cheetah could run faster, i.e., 130 km/h. lastly,
If we compare the weights of the different animals, an elephant has at least five times the weight of a lion, but none of us would have seen an elephant hunting the latter, but the opposite usually happens.
The Mindset Of A King
Now, what makes the lion so unique if it isn’t the best in any category, it isn’t the smartest, tallest, heaviest, or the fastest, then why he is declared the king of the jungle and not the tigers, foxes, elephants or giraffes crowned with the label?

When a predator chases the fox, it will hide. When the lion would run after an elephant or giraffe, all of them would run back to escape it.
Even the tigers would seek refuge at a tall cliff, but a lion would always face what was in front of it.

How Our Brain Reacts?
Now, this is where I wanted all of you to come, the importance of mindset.
We would consider our minds to have two portions: the emotional part that drives our sentiments and emotions towards other people and situations.
The other part is the one that puts forward logical arguments to counter or support our feeling to decide how we react to certain conditions.
Have you seen people cleaning the skyscrapers’ glasses only held by a rope and no other thing to support them from falling?
Now, this is something of real courage that is backed by a positive mindset.
The Comfort Zone And Your Mindset
Mindset plays a huge part in each of our struggles, and the situation above can be a good example.
Once your mind conceives the idea, your emotions would drive you into thinking: what would happen if you fall? What if the ropes are loosened and lose hold of me?
This is how every other person in the world would think, and this is how our brains are made to react.
No one likes leaving the comfort zone and trying something new, and to overcome our regret of leaving the excellent opportunity,
We make up excuses, such as the ones above. All this hesitation, nervousness, anxiety, laziness, and lack of confidence result from our mind mapping or mindset.
Challenges, Mistakes, and Failure
“love challenges, be intrigued by mistakes, enjoy the effort and keep on learning”-Charles Dweck.
The statement above by Mr. Dweck is a bit of advice that should be noted; you can’t achieve big until you try something challenging.
Accessible roads don’t produce the perfect drivers, but rough roads would definitely teach you something you won’t find on the easy route.
The mistakes you commit at the problematic passage are a source of learning for the future, and failures or accidents are nothing but lessons that take you to your destination.

The Importance Of A Positive Mindset
Mindset plays a huge part in determining your success, accepting challenges, finding ways to overcome them, and then setting ourselves on the right track.
A positive mindset is ready to learn. It took Space Ex 4 attempts to reach the moon; the first three were massive failures that almost caused the owner to go bankrupt, had Elon Musk stopped after the third failure, he would have been sitting “broke” at a road.
Still, he decided to take the risk and make the 4th attempt, which turned out to be successful, and he made it to the Forbes list of billionaires.
It is all about mindset, believing that you can do it, never letting the failures shake you, never letting the difficulties take over you, never allowing your confidence to loosen, and never-ending on “it’s okay.”
The chapters of life unfold each day, every day comes up with hundred stories of success, and the same number of failures occur; make sure that you have a mark in the stories of success when it’s the end, and if you haven’t made the mark, believe that it isn’t the end.
“The biggest risk is not taking any risk… In a world that is changing really quickly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking risks.”- Mark Zuckerberg.
High Self Esteem Builds Mindset
Self-esteem plays a vital role in building a positive mindset.
You will attain greater confidence while making a tough decision, enhancing your success probability with a high self-esteem level.

Research shows that your mindset predicts achievement. Take some time and work on your Self-Esteem.
Once you have a higher level of self-esteem and an optimistic mindset, you will definitely cope with the rough times and transform yourself into a successful person.
Goals Become Achievable
“Setting goals and then working ridiculously hard to achieve them sets you on the path of living a purpose-driven life.”
What does it take to achieve the goals? Is it hard work or actions?
Well, both hard work and effort are required to turn today’s dreams into tomorrow’s reality, but success isn’t possible without the right mindset.
The placebo effect is an impeccable example of how mindset really can be powerful.
In scientific trials, the patients were told that they had been given a medicine that would heal the disease, but they were actually given a sugar pill that does nothing.
After the trial ended, the patients believed the medication had a positive effect, and they now feel better.
This is the power of mindset.
Acquiring a positive mindset is the sure-fire way to increase your chance to achieve your goals dramatically.

Changes Your Perspective On Things
The mindset has a significant impact on seeing things from a different perspective.
You would never see things from the best view with a negative attitude.
It would be hard for you to find positivity if you have a negative mindset. It keeps you from attaining your goals because you would never be confident.
With a positive mindset, the scenario is completely changed. You possess high self-esteem, motivation, and a soul filled with positivity.
This will allow you to see things from a different viewpoint to help you chase goals.
Why You Need to Have a Growth Mindset?
Failure is an Opportunity for Them
“Success is not final; failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”-Winston S. Churchill.
Usually, people take failure as a sign of defeat, but people with a growth mindset take the loss as an inspiration.
They learn from mistakes that lead to disappointment and come back stronger, with a positive attitude the next time.
People With A Growth Mindset Use Feedback
Constructively
Although it is difficult to face criticism, feedback is a great way to overcome your flaws and improve yourself.
People with a growth mindset are never frightened of criticism.
They take the feedback seriously and work hard to improve their weaknesses rather than fear them.
Take the time to prepare for a feedback session like any other important meeting.

We all need people who give us feedback; that’s how we improve. -Bill Gates
The Conclusion
According to research, 90% of startups in India fail within five years of their inception, and this is because of the lack of Innovation.
The biggest technology giants’ such as Google or Microsoft, always rely on bringing Innovation in their products and services, but, unfortunately, our young entrepreneurs lack a growth mindset.
When an entrepreneur has a growth mindset, they will use feedback and failure as an opportunity to grow.
The right attitude will always keep them motivated to achieve their goals.
Our government needs to motivate our young entrepreneurs and invest in them to lead them towards the right path.
Let’s hope to bring the change we wish to see, and everything starts from our home.
The next time someone commits a mistake, stay calm, let them explain, and keep it easy for yourself and everyone around you.
